Nominate with a tweet during Social Media Week!
The Shorty Awards are the Oscars of social media — honoring the best people and organizations on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and Foursquare. Past winners and special guests include Cory Booker, Rachel Maddow, William Shatner, Sesame Street’s Grover, Ted Leo, Suze Orman, Shaquille O’Neal and Stephen Fry.
The nominations period has been extended through the end of Social Media Week to further highlight excellence in this new medium. Check out ShortyAwards.com to nominate people now or to learn how to make nominations with a tweet during Social Media Week.
If you work with a brand or agency, consider placing an entry for a Shorty Industry Award
which will honor the most innovative social media work from the past year. Categories include best brand presence on Facebook and Twitter, viral campaign, social game and location-based marketing campaign.
If you hear or meet anyone interesting through Social Media Week, don’t forget to nominate them for a #socialmedia Shorty Award! Nominations will be extended through Friday February 11th, 2011 at 11:59pm EST.
