Right now, 49% of consumers learn about food through social media, and 9% of us own a mobile food app. The food and restaurant industries are only getting started, making this a perfect topic this SMW12.

But we’re not only highlighting topics, we want you to get involved (you know you own a food app… and if you don’t even better). Partnering with Eat St., we’re launching the Ultimate Food Truck challenge. The food truck community is not unlike the tech-forward, social media community and in fact often straddle the two worlds seamlessly. Food truck vendors have taken to Twitter and Facebook by storm to spread the word out about their delicious eats and ever- changing locations.
