When we announced our hosts for Social Media Week, we were thrilled to announce our debut in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Jeddah community has reacted wonderfully to Social Media Week Jeddah, and we had several distinguished local, regional and international guest speakers and esteemed thought leaders in the field scheduled to showcase and share findings, data and business solutions to support us in our daily business lives.
However, today, we were delivered some unfortunate news. Due to instructions from local authorities, we must postpone Social Media Week Jeddah. While the situation is out of our hands, we are complying and will return to Jeddah in November. We greatly appreciate your understanding to the situation.
A lot of investment has been put into this event from all stakeholders and especially our Strategic Partners and Sponsors. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them each one individually: Nokia, Aljazirah Ford, Effat University, The Loft, Red Sea Mall, Unilever and Abu Dawood and of course our media partner, Al Arabiya TV.
For all those participating in our #CaptureSaudi photography competition, the competition will carry on, and along with Nokia, we are working on the possibility of having more winners and probably update the gifts, winners will still be announced on the first day of the event.
