Why do things go viral online?  Presenter Sebastian Vasta will analyse the success of memes like Keyboard Cat, Nyan Cat, and the rare memes that don’t involve cats.  Why does this content spread so fast?  How has social media changed the way we interact with content, and how can marketers use that to their advantage?

The second part of the session is a hands-on workshop, where you’ll use the principles of successful virals to come up with your own content ideas.  As a group we’ll discuss the concepts and work towards making some content that could be the next Gangnam Style!

Remember, there’s no magic button that you can press to ‘make’ a viral, but after this workshop you’ll be able to make more engaging content designed to spread your message.

About the presenter: Sebastian is a Social Media & Digital Strategist that helps brands build their community online.  He’s worked for startups, publishers, agencies and large corporations, creating insight-led content that works.  Sebastian’s digital experience stretches back to 2000, when he was managing online communities before social media was called social media!
