Mark Coniglio will present an intensive, three-hour workshop focused on the integration of live performance and interactive media. Designed for expressly for artists who are not technologists, Coniglio will introduce the participants to the key features of his award winning software Isadora — a software tool that that allows performers or the public to interactively generate video, sound or light. Then, Coniglio will guide the participants through a series of experiments and exercises, where they will use Isadora to create simple performance scenarios that place performer and media in harmony and conflict, exploring the new meanings, contexts, and relationships that such combinations offer.
