Ali was already embedded in the rapid-change-world of digital marketing, when others were still wondering what email was all about. His digital expertise has spanned Europe and Asia, where he helped build integrated marketing activities for KPMG, Kellogg’s, Samsung, and Motorola. His most recent role, as Cathay Pacific’s global head of digital marketing in Hong Kong, saw him create Cathay Pacific’s social experience from the ground up.
A firm believer in combining work life with corporate social responsibility and the belief that organisations can help local community and animal-related causes, Ali’s involvement in a variety of pro-bono digital marketing projects have included complete website development as well as advising charities throughout Asia on the strategic thinking and value behind social media.
Ali moves to World Wide Fund for Nature Hong Kong in October, where he will lead their communications team.
