Brittany Furlan was born and raised in Perkasie, a small city outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon graduating high school at the age of 17, Brittany moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career in acting. She attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in downtown Los Angeles, while going on auditions and studying theatre. She was approached by a casting director while out with friends one night, and was brought in to audition for the E! Network’s Improv Comedy Show “Reality Hell”. She booked “Reality Hell” (2009) and fell completely in love with sketch comedy. She continued to make sketches with friends and appear in other people’s YouTube sketches which led to her booking a role on another comedic Improv based show “Prank My Mom” (2012).
After appearing in two national television shows, she became frustrated that she still wasn’t able to break through in Hollywood, so she took matters into her own hands and took advantage of a new social networking application called, “Vine” where users have 6 seconds to make videos on their phones. Brittany took to Vine like a fish to water and quickly became recognized for her comedic wit and talent. Her following increased by the thousands and soon opportunities started coming in. She shot “Hollywood on Vine with Simon Rex” (2013) for Funny Or Die and has been working on developing her own Improv based sketch comedy show. Brittany currently has over 2 million followers on Vine and is the most popular female on the app. Brittany resides in Los Angeles with her two dogs “Meg” and “Wicket”.
