There is a growing skills shortage that exists today that is caused by the extraordinary pace of technological change. Individuals and businesses recognize the need to adapt and The School of Emerging Media has been established to address this challenge on a global scale.

MISSION

The School’s mission is to connect the world’s greatest leaders and experts with professionals whose daily jobs and activities require a basic-to-advanced understanding of the tools, technologies and best practices that are driving change in industry.

HOW IT WORKS

Offline and Online Courses and Classes:  Via the Skillshare platform and through offline and online classes and courses, the School offers a wide range of curricular for basic-advanced students across a wide variety of industry sectors and skill areas.  Simply sign-up for more information via the Enroll tab, view the full range of courses via Courses & Classes or sign up to to become a Teacher.

Custom Training:  Through the School we’re building a comprehensive community of knowledge experts, industry practitioners and training consultants. By accessing this growing pool of talent and expertise we can develop custom training solutions that are designed to serve specific needs within any sized organization.  Email training@crowdcentric.net if you’d like to learn more.

BENEFITS OF BECOMING A TEACHER

Teachers are incentivized in a number of ways, including 75% of the fees from all classes and courses they teach and through other benefits including:

HOW TO BECOME A TEACHER

The School is open to leading thinkers and practitioners in emerging media, communications and technology, but in order to maintain a high standard, all our teachers have to meet our vetting criteria and be approved by SMW.

Past teaching experience, affiliations with industry associations, industry awards and accreditations, experience of public speaking and professional writing are among the criteria that inform our selection system.

Applying is simple:
  1. Submit your application to become a teacher here.
  2. SMW will review the application. If approved you’ll be notified within a week and we will send you the teacher guidelines.
  3. Start defining your area of expertise and the class you want to teach - SMW or Skillshare’s education experts can help you refine your curricula for the class.
  4. Create your class or course via the Skillshare website and indicate function/skillset, theme/title, level, format.
  5. Once the class is up, send the link via email at partnerships@skillshare.com with the subject “SMW’s School of Emerging Media & Technology” indicating that you want to be included in the School.
