Wow, we are 5 days into #SMWHK 2012 now! Today is our last day, and it’s packed with goodies. The day will kick off with the event ‘Social media for social good?’ at Pure SOHO, in a dynamic debate. Two teams will debate the motion, ‘Non-profits shouldn’t spend on social media’, in an effort to better understand the issues non-profits and charities face when it comes to social media. Speakers at this event include Douglas White, founder and CEO of Prosperity Research Ltd. and Ali Bullock, Asia’s foremost Charity Wildlife Photographer.
Early sell-out event ‘Blogging 101’ begins at 12.30pm at Pure SOHO, where ticket holders will learn everything they need to know about starting up their own blog.
‘Geek Chic Gadget’s’ is being held at Harbour City this afternoon, an event which will discuss the influential power of blogs, review sites and social media on decision making when buying gadgets. Speakers include tech blogger Jansen Lu and Michelle Au, General Manager of Sony Ericsson, Hong Kong & Macau.
This evening begins with ‘Fashion Brands vs. Fashion Bloggers Quiz Night Mixer’ at Kee Club. Where the audience will help the fashion bloggers with the most tech savvy brands in a quiz night to find out more about Hong Kong’s fashion scene.
‘Pitch Yr Culture: Social Media & the Search for Music’ is happening at the XXX Gallery later this evening from 8pm. This event is reaching into Hong Kong’s music and culture scene, where 5-10 speakers will discuss the theme of social media and the search for music.
