Social Media Week London Launches Work Experience Opportunities
Social Media Week is a leading news platform and worldwide conference that curates and shares the best ideas and insights into social media and technology's impact on business, society, and culture.
The importance of work experience was underlined at Chinwag’s recent Careers Day (see the round-up blog for some top CV tips). There’s plenty of competition for the choicest work experience or intern positions, because they provide such a powerful point of differentiation for candidates, not to mention heaps of useful job-hunting contacts.
So, with London’s biggest collaborative event, Social Media Week returning to London in September (24-28), what better time to offer a lucky few the chance to get their teeth stuck into one of the largest digital events to hit London? Find out more about what’s involved and how to apply below.
We’re also on the hunt for some temporary SMWLDN HQ space to house the team, if you have a few desks available until the end of Sept and want to get involved supporting – and get to know the work experience folks first-hand – do drop us a line.
Social Media Week London (SMWLDN) February event saw 180 events, over 100 event organisers and thousands of attendees. The team behind SMWLDN handles a huge range of activities, including (but not limited to):
- Sponsorships & Partnerships
- Event Content & Scheduling
- Event Management & Venue / Speaker Liaison
- Press Liaison & Media Partnerships
- Marketing, PR & Communications
We’re looking for people to help with the above, starting in July 2012, working through til the end of September 2012 and will make a contribution to your travel and lunch expenses.
