What is #SMWLDN?
In its 8th year #SMWLDN brings together some of the industries leading companies at the intersection of entertainment, media, marketing and technology, including BuzzFeed, National Geographic, Slate, Forbes and Giphy.
In 2016 lead organisers Crowdcentric will focus on creating a content experience that provides attendees with new ideas, insights and best practices at a venue which will foster networking and collaboration. Specific features of the 2016 event include:
- More Capacity
We’ve decided to focus on quality over quantity by restricting the amount of available passes, and host #SMWLA at a larger venue
- One Mainstage
All official programming will take place at one, large theatre. Now, you won’t miss any of the sessions throughout the week
- Digital Passes
Whether you buy a Campus Pass or our new Digital Insider Pass, you will be able to watch every session live online and on-demand for up through the month of September.
- Group Packages
With the launch of SMW Connect we now offer group packages as part of our new corporate membership. Includes an invitation to an exclusive industry networking event

Where does #SMWLDN take place?
Official programming during #SMWLDN will take place at:
BFI Southbank, Belvedere Rd, London SE1 8XT, London
The venue has a theater that holds up to 500 people, which means no long lines or sessions at capacity.
In addition, we’ll have co-working lounges where you can meet with colleagues or clients, connect to WiFi to get your normal work done, and space to relax as you enjoy the incredible sessions throughout the week. The aim this year is to provide attendees, speakers and partners with a much bigger stage and plenty of space to enjoy the entire week.
WHERE SHOULD I STAY?
If you’re traveling from outside of London, we will have preferred hotel partners listed on our website starting June 17. We also recommend Airbnb as one of the most affordable ways to spend a week in London during peak season.
