Social Media Week’s Best Food Joints

  • NEXT:

Social Media Week is upon us! This upcoming week you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to expand your business and your brand via today’s technologies, but it’s more than that. It’s a chance to network with other like-minded individuals, and what better way to do that than at any one of several restaurants and venues in the area. Not familiar with your surroundings? Let us help you out with that!

Hard Rock Cafe
6801 Hollywood Blvd.

Open all week by 11:00AM and not closing until either 12:00AM or 1:00Am, the Hard Rock is the perfect venue whether looking for a bite for lunch or a place to have drinks with some of your newest business contacts. Relationships must be cultivated and Hard Rock gives you the opportunity to do just that at practically anytime of the day. Drink specials include $3 Domestics and $4 Well Drinks during Happy Hour from 4pm – 7pm, with the addition of $7 pizzas during Late Night Happy Hour, 9pm – Close.

Wood & Vine
6280 Hollywood Blvd.

Located in the historic Taft Building, Wood & Vine was once home to the first office of Charlie Chaplin and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science. Now a modern and eclectic restaurant, featuring small batch wines and beers, cocktails and a seasonal, tapas-style menu. W&V opens everyday this week at 5:30pm, with a Late Night Happy Hour 10pm to close. This includes $4 California Beers and $8 Wines of the Month. On Wednesday, be sure to stop by after seeing Craigslist Joe, presented by Zach Galifianakis for a special drink just for this event: Joe’s Sojourn, a  vanilla bean infused reposado tequila, ginger beer, agave, and lime. $7 for all Social Media Week attendees!

TwentyFiveDegrees at the Roosevelt
7000 Hollywood Blvd.

One of LA’s hottest “burger joints,” TwentyFiveDegrees is more than just a place to grab America’s favorite sandwich. It’s where Bordello meets Burger Bar. After attending events all day, come on over and try the Number Two or just build your own brand of perfection.  Anything goes here. The best part? TwentyFiveDegrees is open 24 hours a day. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or after hours, this is the place to satisfy your hunger. Be sure to check out their happy hour from 3pm – 6pm everyday, including half off draft beer, $5 wines, $6 wells and $2 fries!

The Pig & Whistle
6714 Hollywood Blvd.

Here’s some trivia for you: The Pig & Whistle is a historical landmark that hosted the first Oscar after-party and Judy Garland’s 15th Birthday. You know, right before a tornado swept her off to Oz. Now they serve up every type of dish imaginable while providing a bit of that Old Hollywood feel for the patrons that walk through its doors. The kitchen opens at noon everyday, so be sure to check in for lunch. If you’re too busy for a sit-down, come back for either of their two Happy Hours: 4pm – 7pm and 10pm – 12am. Here you can get the 4, 5, & 6: $4 Beer, $5 Wine, $6 Well. After networking this week, stop by for a Comedy Night on Tues, Open Mic Night on Wed, or Live Music Thurs & Fri!

The Cat and Fiddle
6530 Sunset Blvd.

Listed in Esquire as one of the “Best Bars in America 2012,” as well as Travel + Leisure Magazine’s “Top 20 Outdoor Patios in America 2012″; the Cat and Fiddle is truly something special on the Sunset Strip.  It’s not just a place to go over all that you’ve experienced this week, it’s a place to experience all its own. Happy Hour is the standard 4pm – 7pm with $3.75 Draft, $4.50 Wine/Well, and $5 Appetizer Menu. Also, be sure to check out Movie Night on the Patio on Monday and Pub Quiz Trivia on Tuesday.

Now that you’ve got an idea of what’s in the area, be sure to explore the rest of the time. There’s Vegas Buffet Lunch for a quick bite, Shakey’s Pizza, and the Daily Grill, known for being a great business meeting lunch spot. Whatever your tastes, be sure to get in on the festivities this week and Tweet your experiences with #SMWLA. We look forward to “Power Lunching” with you.
