This year SMW Los Angeles will be coordinated by SocialRadius. SocialRadius is a full-service social media marketing agency, serving clients in a variety of industries worldwide. The agency is focused on thought leadership content creation and syndication, social media outreach and strategy. Recognizing that all client needs are different, and that one size and flavor of social media solution definitely does not fit all scenarios, SocialRadius crafts unique, dedicated solutions to each client’s individual requirements. Earlier this year, Emily worked as the primary PR contact for SMASH: Social Media Advanced Skills Huddle at USC. She brings to the table multi-dimensional public relations, strategic event planning, and marketing consulting skills. While in Phoenix, Emily was PR Account Coordinator at Knoodle Advertising and intern at Brosseau PR. She graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University in 2009 and holds a BA in Public Relations and Strategic Media with a business minor.

Stacy is helping with logistics of Social Media Week Los Angeles, primarily with community partners and venues. Stacy joined SocialRadius in 2011 after co-founding The Hollywood Fringe, an international arts festival supporting cutting-edge artists and producers. The Fringe quickly grew to become the largest arts festival in the western U.S. due to Jones’ publicity efforts and she continues to serve as PR Director. Jones has a passion for small start-up companies and non-profits, and also takes great interest in arts and culture, green initiatives, and emerging technologies. She holds a dual Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa in English and Theater Arts.

Previously, Mark served as the senior energy policy analyst for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy in the Executive Office of the President where he worked on the Administration’s climate change technology strategy and helped to create a public-private partnership with the housing industry. Karen North, Ph.D. is the Director of USC’s Annenberg Program on Online Communities (APOC). APOC is the world’s first master’s degree program and research center focused exclusively on the leadership and management of social media and online communities.
