Gerard Bush

Gerard W. Bush is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of the award-winning, creative new media agency, The brpr Group. Located in Miami’s Design District, The brpr Group concepts and implements national new media campaigns for global retailers and luxury brands. Originally from Houston, TX Bush lived abroad as a Wilhelmina model in London & Cape Town, South Africa before deciding to call Miami his home over a decade ago. Bush is sought after to speak on topics ranging from luxury branding to social media initiatives and its place within pop culture. Most recently, Bush was a featured speaker at the national Digital Summit and has been asked to speak on behalf of his MTV client at the Global Youth Economic Conference in Washington DC this Fall. Bush is currently a professor at the Miami Ad School teaching a course in Social Media. You can keep up with him and his students with the #ProfessorG hashtag on Twitter. Gerard is also the on-air host of Plum TV’s “Silicon Beach,” a television show intimately linked to the latest in social media and technology. In Spring 2012 he will teach a course at the University of Miami on the impact of digital media on pop culture. As a champion of Miami, Bush is always in attendance at culturally relevant events and loves to bring his Twitter followers along with him for the ride.

Christopher began his advertising career at the top agency in the country, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, where he contributed to creatively distributing award-winning content for Virgin Atlantic Airways including a custom magazine entitled “Jetrosexual” and a branded “mile-high” film for the upper class suites. Renz then took his talents to OMD where he worked on the national McDonald’s advertising business stationed between Chicago and Miami. After three successful years with OMD, Crispin Porter + Bogusky called him back to help the agency’s media department with their largest client at the time, Burger King. Currently, Christopher is Chief Geek at The brpr Group, a creative interactive media agency he co-founded in 2008 with Gerard Bush. He is a regular contributing blogger to Advertising Week & Digital Pivot where his distinctive voice & command of the industry set him apart and draw readers from across the globe. With a background in traditional media and deep experience in the new media space, Christopher works to create compelling new media campaigns for his clients while utilizing industry analytics to optimize all initiatives in real-time. With an extensive understanding of the industry and a keen awareness of what is new and next, Christopher is always able to stay 5-6 steps ahead of the competition. In 2010 he was named “Power 30 Under 30” in new media and was paramount in winning his agency the Bees Award for their Smirnoff client in the “Best Use of Mobile” category.

Jake is the Digital Strategist at The brpr Group as well as a full time contributor to the company’s personal blog and the Advertising Week Social Club. A recent graduate with honors from the West Virginia University College of Business and Economics, Jake’s deep appreciation for creativity built upon a concrete business foundation creates this millennial’s dynamic presence in the digital world. A native of the social media space, Jake offers an inside perspective on how to effectively reach and utilize mobile and digital platforms for an upcoming tech savvy generation.
