		<description>The concept of listening is right on. But I stop talking to people that don&#039;t talk back. At that point, I only talk about you and if I say something bad you earned it by not respecting me enough to show up personally and engage me in conversation. Too many businesses are being sold a bill of empty goods by agencies, and frankly they get what they deserve because they are too dumb to know and too lazy to do their homework to find out. You can&#039;t keep social media at arms length and expect to leverage its full strategic value. Someone that sits at the strategic table of influence in your company has to be personally involved in social media (e.g. blog, twitter) to really understand what people are doing, why they are doing it, and how your company can leverage that in ways that force your competitors to play catch-up.</description>
