On November 27, 2012, thousands of companies, NGOs, small businesses and individuals came together to celebrate the first-ever #GivingTuesday—a new social media-driven campaign to create a national day of giving. The wild success of #GivingTuesday proved two things: social is transforming how people give and it’s turning everyday citizens into empowered philanthropists.

We’ll unpack the success of #GivingTuesday, share stories from participants, and talk about how social is changing the giving landscape.
