We are experiencing one of the biggest shifts in how we communicate in human history. Because of this, our aim is to provide the best information, ideas and inspiration to help people understand how to achieve more in a hyper-connected world.

Social Media Week is where humanity and technology meet. Launched in February 2009, in New York City by Toby Daniels, Social Media Week’s presence has rapidly grown from one city to more than 30 cities across the globe. Annually, Social Media Week attracts more than 60,000 attendees across thousands of individually organized events, with half a million connecting to the conference online and through mobile.

Powered by Nokia and taking place in 12 cities around the globe this September, we’ll look at our global theme, The Future of Now. We’re bringing together the best thought leaders, innovators, and change makers. Our 2014 cities include Berlin, Chicago, Johannesburg, London, Los Angeles, Miami, Mumbai, Rome, Rotterdam, São Paulo, Sydney, and Toronto.

Our last Social Media Week in February proved to be a great success, with participation from more than 25,000, across 900 events and with 2,000 speakers driving the conversation in 8 cities. Together, we reached hundreds of thousands of people in more than 180 countries.
