Social Media Week Singapore kicked off on Monday with a Keynote Address from Henry Mason, Head of Research & Analysis, Trendwatching.com and Alan Soon, Managing Editor of Yahoo! Southeast Asia. Moderated by Yeoh Siew Hoon, Editor and Producer of Web-in-Travel, it was an exciting debate as the audience – both in the auditorium and on livestream, shared their thoughts via twitter and posed questions to the speakers.
Expect more lively discussion at our Can Man Live on Social Media Alone finale event and panel discussion tomorrow morning. Siew Hoon will once again be moderating the discussion between Martin Pasquire (@SMWLoveMessenger), our #CanManLondon; Simon Kemp, Managing Director, We Are Social (Singapore); and Ari Fadyl, Head of Consumer Engagement, Nokia Southeast Asia.
Siew Hoon launched WIT-Web In Travel as a conference in 2005 to address a need in the market. She felt that the travel industry was changing so fast and information and knowledge was not keeping up with changing trends in Asia, and that it needed a platform for high quality content delivered in a unique, interactive format. Today, WIT has become the event to be at if you want to know and learn about the online travel space in Asia Pacific and the changing trends in marketing, distribution and technology.
