Advisory Board members:
Tze Yong is an Associate focused on corporate social responsibility at WATATAWA, a Singapore-based stakeholder engagement consulting firm. The 31-year-old Brown University graduate was previously the first-ever Social Media Editor at The Straits Times, where he spear-headed the national broadsheet’s efforts to engage audiences on social media over a period that included the landmark 2011 General and Presidential Elections.
Tze Yong also brings with him two years of experience as the Special Assistant to the Editor-In-Chief of the English newspapers division at Singapore Press Holdings (SPH). He was appointed to that position after cutting his teeth as a reporter with The New Paper, where he covered crime, politics and the arts, and reported from disaster and conflict zones such as Kashmir, Sichuan, Kosovo, West Bank and the Gaza Strip. He was named SPH’s Young Journalist of the Year in 2007.

Kien is the founder and Managing Director of SENATUS, a luxury and lifestyle online publication, which won Gold in Best in Online Media (Magazine) in Asia Pacific and Middle East at the 2010 Asian Digital Media Awards organised by the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA). The online platform is also a membership-by-invitation only social network for influencers.
SENATUS currently has more than 190,000 fans on Facebook, which serves as a key channel of distribution for its readers, and communication to its members.
Kien formerly spent 10 years on Wall Street, as a Mergers & Acquisitions banker at Merrill Lynch, and later as the Strategy Advisor to the Deutsche Bank Americas CEO.

An award-winning integrated communications specialist with over a decade of experience in both traditional and digital media for global and local brands, Pat is the founder of GOODSTUPH, a social influence marketing studio based in Singapore.
In her time at leading advertising agencies such as Arc Worldwide, TBWA and Ogilvy, Pat has marketed over 30 brands, including adidas, Chrysler, Fancy Feast, Finnair, Garnier Haircolor, Harley-Davidson, Hewlett-Packard, Jeep, Johnnie Walker, L’Oréal Singapore, m&m’s™, Palm, Inc., Royal Salute, and Tiger beer just to name a few.
A Singapore Women’s Weekly Women of Our Time 2010 nominee and accredited member of AdAge Power 150, Pat presently provides digital strategic counsel, develops content architecture, and creates influencer engagement programmes at GOODSTUPH. Her key brands to date include Hewlett Packard, Ben & Jerry’s, Bobbi Brown, La Mer, SingTel and United Overseas Bank. Pat really wants Salon Pas as a client some day.
An avid arts lover and writer, Pat is part of Singapore’s leading arts and culture portal, Culturepush, Organisation of Illustrators Council Singapore, and international 55DSL collective network. Pat wrote for iSh and now writes for Singapore Architect and TODAY.
Pat is also the owner and author of one of Singapore’s leading blogs, blankanvas.

Michael Netzley (PhD, University of Minnesota) serves on the faculty of Singapore Management University (SMU) where he teaches Digital Media across Asia and Managing Corporate Reputation. He is a research fellow with the Society for New Communication Research and in 2011 received the Champion’s Award for innovative course design and execution from the Central and Eastern European Management Association.
Before joining SMU in 2002, Michael held several visiting positions in Argentina, Finland, Germany, Japan and Slovenia. Currently, he is writing a book about managing corporate reputation, as practiced in Asia, which will be published by Palgrave in 2012. He is the proud father of two lovely girls, and enjoys scuba diving and podcasting in his free time.

Ravi Philemon is the executive director of SUN-DAC, an activity centre for people with disabilities. He is also the interim chief editor of a leading current affairs website in Singapore, The Online Citizen. Ravi is a founding member of MARUAH, a human rights organisation based in Singapore and he blogs at http://www.raviphilemon.net.
He is an acknowledged social activist and an opinion leader. He has raised the causes of people with disability and the disadvantaged in the community.
Ravi is married to Catherine and together they have two children – a daughter, 18 and a son, 16.

An accomplished marketeer and creative consultant, Tracy Phillips has helped shape Southeast Asia’s nightlife, music and popular culture landscape for more than a decade. In and out of her role as Marketing Manager of Zouk Singapore, Asia’s most eminent clubbing institution, she has established herself as a thought leader in emerging trends and as a purveyor of cool. Her knack and enthusiasm for furthering artistic expression, inspiring interaction and acting as a spark for fresh creative endeavors led her to set up Present Purpose, a branding consultancy in March 2010.
As the recently appointed Project Director for Blueprint, Asia’s international fashion tradeshow and emporium, a key pillar of the Asian Fashion Exchange in Singapore in May 2012, Tracy is focusing her attention on growing the local fashion industry’s brands, their exportability and making Singapore the east west trade gateway for Asia.

David is the Regional Digital Director at Iris Worldwide, helping to strengthen and guide the digital growth across the region and its clients, such as Sony Ericsson, Johnnie Walker, Sony, Adidas & Tiger Beer. Before joining Iris, David was Creative Director of Euro RSCG 4D. After which he emerged to co-found the highly successful and award winning digital agency Soap Creative in Sydney. With a global outlook David also spent several years in London as Creative Director of Euro RSGC 4D and more recently as Executive Creative Director of XM/JWT in Asia. David has participated in judging panels for the CCA’s, AWWWARD, EPICA’s and the Cannes Cyber Lions.

Simon is a marketing strategist and practitioner with particular enthusiasm for all things social, digital, and mobile. He is the Managing Director of We Are Social in Singapore, where he helps clients across Asia to listen to, understand, and engage in conversations in social media. Before joining We Are Social, Simon was an Engagement Planner with BBH, prior to which he was regional strategy director for Universal McCann and Starcom Mediavest. He has also been a management consultant, with stints at Accenture and Ascension Strategy Consulting. Outside of work, Simon is an active DJ, hosting a weekly radio show and regular club nights. He’s also a huge fan of street food. You can find Simon across most of the social web under the moniker of eskimon.
