Social Media Week Vancouver receives corporate support

VANCOUVER, BC – As Vancouverites delight in the arrival of summer on the Canadian West Coast, the team at Socialized! Ltd. is busy connecting with potential sponsors for Vancouver’s first Social Media Week, taking place September 19 through 23, 2011. Social Media Week Vancouver will see the culmination of over 30 events during this five-day global event celebrating social media successes, best practices and social media integration at a local level.
Social Media Week Vancouver event hosts and co-founders of Socialized! Social Media Week was held in February 2009 in New York for the first time with 2,500 participants attending over forty individual events. The event scheduled for September 2011 will see Social Media Week take place in twelve cities across the globe including Beirut, Glasgow, Moscow and Vancouver. “I have been working directly with our board of advisors, sponsors and speakers and have not seen this kind of buzz around a social media event in Vancouver for quite some time,” says Teri Conrad, Senior Social Strategist for Socialized! Ltd. “It has already taken on a life of its own.”
