With over 80 events, 4,000 attendees, 7,000+ #SMWWDC tweets and 9,000+ Foursquare checkins, last year’s inaugural Social Media Week DC was a huge success.  There were over 30 event recap blog posts from SMWWDC bloggers, and over 100 media mentions.

Numerous companies and organizations throughout Washington, DC put forth sessions and events on various topics ranging from mobile technology’s impact on political campaigns to the power of the social customer for business growth. Rosetta Stone hosted an event titled “Interactive Culture: Food, Drinks, and Social Collaboration with Rosetta Stone”, while public relations agency Fletcher Prince presented “How to Get More Views for Your YouTube Videos”. The diversity among the events made for an exciting and educational atmosphere.
