Drew Bernard, ActionSprout
Drew Bernard has a passion for helping organizations build productive relationships with supporters. He spent 2001 to 2009 at Groundwire.org where he help create the online strategy program and Groundwire Labs. While at Groundwire, Drew helped dozens of large and small social change organizations develop and implement effective online engagement strategies for advocacy and fundraising. While working at Groundwire, Drew and his team created the Groundwire Engagement Model which is the foundation of the strategy and technology being deployed by many nonprofit organizations across the sector. In many ways, ActionSprout is an extension of this work into the Facebook platform.
John Hlinko, Left Action
John Hlinko is the leader of Left Action, a network of over 1,000,000 progressive activists, built primarily through viral marketing. He appears regularly on TV as a political pundit, including on CNN, Fox, and Current, and is also the author of the recently released book, Share, Retweet, Repeat: Get Your Message Read and Spread, ranked by Amazon.com as the # 1 “hot new release” in both the “web marketing” and “retail” categories. Hlinko holds a BA from Wesleyan and an MA from Harvard, and lives in New York City with his wife and daughters.
Rosalyn Lemieux, Attentive.ly
Roz Lemieux a Partner at Fission. Prior to co-founding Fission, Roz served as the Executive Director of the New Organizing Institute (NOI). Roz was a core member of the MoveOn.org team through the 2004 and 2006 election cycles – serving as a coordinator between their organizing and technical teams. She got her start in online advocacy in 1999, serving as the Feminist Majority Foundation’s web team director. She has won several awards for her work, including the 2012 CampaignTech “Innovator Award”, 2009 Women’s Information Network “Young Women of Achievement” award, and recognition from Planned Parenthood for the Feminist Majority’s trailblazing online campaign in support of women and girls in Afghanistan (2003).
Allyson Kapin, Rad Campaign
Allyson has been named one of the “Top Tech Titans” by the Washingtonian, one of the Most Influential Women In Tech by Fast Company and one of the top 30 women entrepreneurs to follow on Twitter by Forbes for her leadership role in technology and social media. Allyson started the Radical Tech blog for Fast Company, co-founded Women Who Tech and and serves as the Blogger-In-Chief for one of the top-ranked nonprofit communications blog Care2′s Frogloop. She is also co-writing a book on nonprofits leveraging multichannel communications.
