Join thought leaders in international development in a discussion about social media and how it is changing the way USAID and other development groups work in the developing world.
USAID’s Chief Innovation Officer Maura O’Neil will moderate panel about what works in social media when talking about international development. Featured panelists include representatives from USAID, Internews, UN Foundation, iStrategy, and HUGE Inc. Panel discussion will be followed by an in-person Q&A and online questions tweeted to#smwUSAID.
This is a brownbag lunch. Guests are encouraged to bring lunch. Refreshments will be served.
The event will take place in the heart of downtown Washington, DC in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. The building is on the east side of 14th Street, between Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenues, NW. Once inside the Ronald Reagan Building, proceed to the Mezzanine Level (M17-M18) on the north side of the 14th Street Atrium. Since the Ronald Reagan building is a federal building you will need to present proper valid photo identification in order to enter the facility. USAID Special Event signs will direct you to the rooms.
