Bring your thinking caps and your creator’s hands. This session invites you to prototype solutions to community-sourced problems during the Social Media Week conference. Prototyping was born in the fields of engineering and product design — increasingly, professionals of all types are learning that this method can vastly improve the design of their products, services and systems.
In this session, we’ll run an interactive expert-led prototyping workshop that will show you the how-tos of quick and dirty prototypes. Then, we’ll invite you to pick a problem from our ‘Name DC’s Problems’ twitter submissions, and begin building your solutions in the form of a prototype. If this sounds fun, check out the solutions showcase on Friday. That’s where you’ll get a chance to share your prototypes and check out what others have been working on throughout the week.
Just want to learn about prototyping and watch others build? You’re welcome too! Meanwhile, if you’ve got a great idea for a problem that you’d like to see addressed at the session, start submitting anytime at #namedcsproblems
