Acquisition Program Integration? Ankle Pressure Index? Automated Pellet Inspection?
No, Application Program Interface.
The last thing DC needs is another three-letter acronym, but you’re not going to get through 2013 without knowing what APIs are, how to use them, and how your agency can create them and build the government of the future.
In this interactive workshop, Gray Brooks, Sr. API Strategist at General Services Administration, and Jed Sundwall, co-founder of Measured Voice, will help you understand what an API is, how you can use them, and give you a solid footing to develop API-driven apps or recommend the creation of APIs at your own agency.
We’ve designed this for beginners. The only thing you’ll need to know is how to use a Google Spreadsheet.
We’ll be working with a real live government API, the Federal Social Media Registry API, developed by GSA’s Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies.
