Twitter Advertising Comes To 12 New Global Markets
Social Media Week is a leading news platform and worldwide conference that curates and shares the best ideas and insights into social media and technology's impact on business, society, and culture.
This week, Twitter expanded its advertising platform to new markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. These new markets include: Austria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Ukraine and Portugal.
In addition to Twitter’s original Promoted Tweets, Promoted Accounts, and Promoted Trends, new advertisement offerings have been successful for brands and accounts across the globe. According to Twitter’s blog post, these include:
Promoted Video, Objective-Based Campaigns, Tweet Activity Dashboard, Mobile App Promotion, and TV Conversation Targeting. Now that Twitter has rolled out its ad-suite to these new markets, Twitter users and brands alike will be able to ramp up their social media efforts in new parts of the globe.
Earlier this month, Twitter announced its plans for a more specific advertising ecosystem, allowing accounts to only pay for users’ actions they truly care about. For example, a bakery could pay only for clicks to their website, rater than paying for favorites on Tweets. The revamp aims to bring more small and medium sized businesses into its ad suite, and with the addition of these 12 new markets, it’s a win-win for all.
