Apps are just awesome and have changed so many different creative industries. It’s easy to understand why – many are high quality, readily available and some are even free and they cater for so many of our needs.

Acting is one of the oldest professions, however that doesn’t mean that it can’t be helped by new software. There’s loads of great apps out there that can make life easier for anyone in the theatre or the movie business and we’re going to go through some of the best apps for actors.

Additionally, it is easy to share which means you can work together with your acting compatriots, a director or anyone else in the production easily. This app is also perfect for those that find it hard to recollect all their lines. Rehearsal app is perfect for getting you back on track as it allows you to highlight lines at the sweep of a finger, as well as make them disappear with a swipe – perfect for ensuring your know them. It also offers the option to record lines via audio and play them back.


Perfect for a little bit of research – well that’s what we’re telling ourselves while watching the fifth episode of the new series of Orange is the New Black anyhow. It can also be used for downtime.
