A photo taken 150 weeks ago simply just doesn’t resonate with users. An exact date however, can trigger a specific memory or moment in time, making the post more relevant, memorable, and sentimental.

Were you ever frustrated that Instagram displayed older photos by the number of weeks, rather than just say the actual date? Well, you certainly were not alone.

A photo taken 150 weeks ago simply just doesn’t resonate with users. An exact date however, can trigger a specific memory or moment in time, making the post more relevant, memorable, and sentimental.

Instagram is fixing this feature for its users by updating how posts display the time stamp. Now, you’ll see the exact date for posts older than one week old. It hasn’t been rolled out to every user, so stay tuned if you haven’t seen changes yet.
