Facebook Will Allow Publishers to Place Video Ads in Instant Articles

Facebook will soon allow publishers to place video ads at the bottom of Instant Articles in the hopes of raising ad impressions. According to TNW, “the rules allow for one ad for every 350 words of content.”

Josh Roberts, Instant Articles product manager at Facebook said, “In our conversations with publishers, these changes popped up as the biggest steps we could take to make the biggest impact.”

Roberts also hinted at the possibilities of sponsored content and the ability to allow some publishers to collect user email addresses.

The feature is not yet available to everyone, so be on the lookout as Facebook shares more information with publishers over the next few weeks.
