Mobile continues to play a dominant role in Facebook’s revenue, strategy, and overall success.
Facebook’s first-quarter revenue in 2016 was $5.4 billion, and 79 percent came from mobile advertising (via Re/code).
Beyond revenue, Facebook also added 60 million new individuals over the course of Q4 in 2015, making the current grand total of users around 1.65 billion. Nearly all Facebook users access the platform from a mobile device as well.
