Somewhat hidden within Facebook is an interactive map that shows you people streaming to Facebook Live in real-time, by location.

You can access the map by first going to the “Apps” section on the left sidebar, and in that section you should see a tab for “Live Video”… You can also click here to access it.

In addition to location, you can hover over the dots to see a preview of the video, how many people are watching, and more info on the person who is streaming live.

Previously, you could only discover Facebook Live videos by following the page or individual, but this map allows you to join a stream at any time in any country.

The map doesn’t zoom into specific regions of states or cities, so for now it’s rather general. But the ability to easily find Live Video streams at any time is a powerful step forward.
