Amazon’s Dash Buttons Are Now Available on Your Phone
Amazon just announced that you no longer need to get a physical Dash Button for your home. Instead, you can get them on your phone.
Amazon’s physical Dash Buttons are Wi-Fi connected devices that reorder your favorite products with the press of a button. They’re best for easily ordering commonly purchased products for household supplies, pet supplies, snacks, toiletries, and much more.
Amazon just announced that you no longer need to get a physical button for your home. Instead, you can get Dash Buttons for your phone, and digitally tap the buttons to order products with ease. In the announcement, Amazon said:
“Exclusively for Prime members, Dash Buttons are shortcuts to quickly find and reorder your favorite products on Amazon’s mobile app and website. Dash Buttons are available for tens of millions of products that ship with Prime. And Dash Buttons are free, so you can add as many as you want.
You can sort, label, or delete your buttons. If you’ve purchased a product on Amazon that is typically reordered, we will automatically create a Dash Button for you. You can add new Dash Buttons from the product details page of any product available with Prime shipping.”
This could be useful for families or other groups of people that don’t necessarily live in the same home or apartment, but still help with ordering products. For example, senior citizens who live on their own can get help from a family member remotely using digital Dash Buttons.
The future of these digital Dash Buttons will be interesting to see as well. They might become embeddable on websites and blogs, allowing readers or website visitors a one-click way of purchasing products.
