Amazon lowers free shipping threshold to $35 for non-Prime members
If you shop on Amazon, this will likely save you some money!
Amazon just lowered the minimum amount required to get free shipping with their orders, whether or not you’re a Prime member.
According to Amazon’s updated Free Shipping page, “all orders of $35 or more of eligible items across any product category qualify for free shipping. Orders including $25 or more of eligible books also qualify for free shipping.”
Before this, orders needed a minimum of $49 to be eligible for free shipping, and the timeframe for these orders is 5 to 8 business days (previous standard for non-Prime Amazon free shipping).
Amazon rival Walmart recently announced they would offer free, two-day shipping on more than 2 million items, and also lower their threshold for free shipping from $50 to $35.
In other Amazon news, it was announced that their physical Dash buttons (one tap product ordering) are now available as digital buttons on mobile devices, which means you can have as many Dash buttons as you’d like without taking up counter space in your home.
