Ever dreamed of attending SMWNYC? How about an opportunity to work at the event? Our 10th annual conference, to be held April 24 to 27 at the Sheraton Times Square, will be our biggest yet—and we need your help!
We’re hiring several exciting positions spanning registration, production support, programming logistics, and customer service. Please submit your application by Friday, March 23 to be considered.
Here’s a breakdown what’s available and how you can get involved.
Registration Team Captain & Staff
As a registration team member, you’re the first person our attendees see upon arriving at SMWNYC. No pressure! As a staff member, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that attendees feel welcome as they quickly proceed through badge pickup and into the general sessions. If you’re one of our team captains, you’ll be running the show.
For these roles, we’re looking for outgoing and positive personalities who can provide helpful solutions on their feet in a fast-paced environment. Sound like you? Send us your resume and get in the mix.
Production Support Staff
Our team of logistics and floor managers, stage assistants, and house managers, will be tasked with ensure a flawless conference production for sponsors and attendees alike: from the content attendees see on stage to networking opportunities, meals, and evening events, you’re job is to provide the support necessary to ensure everything goes off without a hitch. Responsibilities include stage setup and upkeep, seating management, and assisting with attendee flow.
Programming Logistics Staff
Our programming logistics staff members are expected to learn the ins and out of each and every SMWNYC session (e.g. who is speaking, what they’re presenting, and what A/V sources they are utilizing) in order to provide a flawless content experience for our attendees at every point of the program.
We’re hiring for multiple roles here, including showrunners, speaker managers, and speaker liaisons, who will help manage the timing of each session or panel for flow, as well as presentation and speaker prep. Keen attention to detail and comfort with working closely with speakers are critical for these opportunities.
Customer Service Representative
Our two customer service support opportunities, lounge attendant and help desk greeter, will be responsible for creating an optimal experience for attendees. Largely, this will involve onsite communication of the day-to-day events throughout the week and providing guidance and support as necessary.
