Social Media Week is a leading news platform and worldwide conference that curates and shares the best ideas and insights into social media and technology's impact on business, society, and culture.

Registration for Social Media Week Chicago 2012 opened today at 9 a.m. central time. Head over to the schedule page to check out the fantastic event lineup and sign up.

All events are free to attend and open to the public. As space is limited, we ask that you please register only for those events you can attend.

Social Media Week, to be held Sept. 24-28, is one of Chicago’s most anticipated global technology and cultural events. The week will include dozens of events such as speaker and panel discussions, networking events and more, all focused on the theme Empowering Change Through Collaboration.

A variety of program tracks  cover a wide range of topics including Business; Media & Entertainment; Technology & Innovation; Politics & Government and Art & Culture.

Last year, there were more than 80 events with 200 speakers and upwards of 7,000 registrants.
