Tribeca Flashpoint Academy to Host Business & Entrepreneurship Events, Sponsor Advertising & Marketing Content at Social Media Week Chicago
Social Media Week is a leading news platform and worldwide conference that curates and shares the best ideas and insights into social media and technology's impact on business, society, and culture.
Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy is a college for students interested in film and broadcast, recording arts, animation and visual effects, game and interactive media, and design and visual communication. At Social Media Week Chicago 2013, the Academy will host Business & Entrepreneurship events including:
The academy’s main campus is located at 28 North Clark Street. Students studying there use industry-standard equipment and software and work on real-world client projects beginning in their first semesters.
In addition to hosting Business & Entrepreneurship events on its campus, TFA is also sponsoring SMW Chicago’s Advertising & Marketing track, the most robust category of events. Todd Steele, President & CEO, said the academy’s involvement is reflective of its understanding of social media’s impact.
“At Tribeca Flashpoint Academy (and at our new Digital Professional Institute for adult continuing education), our efforts are focused squarely on launching and accelerating careers in digital media arts—so we recognize the enormous influence that social media has on virtually every aspect of business and beyond,” Steele said. “As a sponsor and hub for Social Media Week Chicago, we look forward to fostering thoughtful discussions about the increasingly dynamic social realm and its implications for building brands, promoting products, and nurturing customer relationships.”
