Social Media Week to Return to Chicago September 2014
Social Media Week is a leading news platform and worldwide conference that curates and shares the best ideas and insights into social media and technology's impact on business, society, and culture.
Social Media Week is more than just an event; it’s an experience. We’re excited to share that Social Media Week Chicago will return this September 22-26, co-hosted for the fourth year by Zócalo Group, 435 Digital and Black Pug Interactive. We can’t wait to host an exciting week of events exploring the impact of social media in our lives and our work.
This year’s theme is “The Future of Now.” Along with fellow Social Media Week Chicago team member Erin Burg, I got to see this theme come to life at Social Media Week New York this February. The New York event is hosted by Crowdcentric, Social Media Week’s global organizers, and we loved seeing both the big ideas and the little details that they put into making the event more than just a conference. We’re thrilled to bring this knowledge back to Chicago and make Social Media Week Chicago better than ever.
This September 22-26, Social Media Week will take place simultaneously in 11 cities around the globe:
- – Berlin
- – Chicago
- – London
- – Los Angeles
- – Miami
- – Mumbai
- – São Paulo
- – Johannesburg
- – Rome
- – Rotterdam
- – Sydney
Save the date, and start brainstorming: event submission opens April 23rd. For highlights from last year, check out the Social Media Week Chicago blog, like Social Media Week Chicago on Facebook, and follow @SMWChicago on Twitter.
See you soon!
