Chicago’s Historic Merchandise Mart To Host SMW Chicago This November

Social Media Week is a leading news platform and worldwide conference that curates and shares the best ideas and insights into social media and technology's impact on business, society, and culture.

Crowdcentric and Jasculca Terman Strategic Communications (JT), the co-organizers of Social Media Week Chicago, announced today that the historic Merchandise Mart in downtown Chicago will serve as the official venue to host SMW Chicago in November (16-20) of this year.

The Mart was chosen because it has emerged as one of the “hottest global hubs for innovation and entrepreneurship,” said Rick Jasculca, CEO of JT, the executive producers and event managers for Social Media Week Chicago. At 3.6 million square feet, The Mart is one the largest buildings in the U.S., and is home to some of Chicago’s most creative and technologically innovative companies.

The Mart’s centralized and iconic downtown Chicago location will allow the vast majority of programming to take place under one roof, making the conference more convenient and accessible than ever. Strategically designed, The Mart offers event space for both large talks and smaller demos and masterclasses.
