Hosted by MacArthur Foundation
MacArthur Foundation 140 South Dearborn Chicago Illinois 60603
With smartphones, gone is the era of relying on large cameras and extensive video production efforts. Today, Chicago’s diverse arts organizations are uniquely positioned to use instant and streaming video on multiple platforms to showcase the culture and vibrance of the city. This panel discussion featuring a wide variety of Chicago arts organizations will focus on how visual content is being leveraged on a variety of platforms — recent (Snapchat and Periscope) and not-so-recent (Facebook and Twitter). It will also take a look at some successful digital campaigns aimed at engaging newer, more diverse audiences in Chicago’s arts and culture scene.
This session will feature panelists from Adler Planetarium, Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago Architecture Foundation, Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival, Chicago Shakespeare Theater and Lookingglass Theatre.
