The lifespan of content on the web sometimes feels shorter today than ever. Publish an article, and within an hour, it’s carried away into oblivion by your audience’s constantly moving social feeds, replaced by a thousand other stories from around the globe. But that’s not how it has to be.
One of the most invigorating qualities of today’s dynamic social media landscape is its ability to breathe new life into older content. In this workshop, learn how to work with your archives to reach new audiences, boost your content output, and create meaningful connections between past and present. The New Republic has 101 years of archives, and in this workshop, you’ll learn how they’re using that content across social media platforms. You’ll also come up with ideas for how to use your previously published content in new ways. (If we can make Depression-era political writing cool again, you can too!)
