Do you catch yourself thinking in Facebook posts? Mentally hashtagging the most mudane situations (#howcleanisthisbathroom)? Framing your photo for Instagram before you’ve actually looked at the scenery?
When Social Media is a big part of both work and home, it starts to feel like it’s taken over every single area of your life. This makes it hard to relax without reaching for the phone every 3 minutes, let alone think clearly, make conscious decisions and connect with your true feelings.
This session will provide an introduction to Mindfulness and how it can help you feel more confident and connected in your day-to-day. We’ll outline practical strategies and will share real-life examples on how becoming more mindful has improved both our lives as well as our relationships with social media.
Our panel includes a unique combination of experts (a blogger, a social media community manager and financial guru who moonlights as an app developer) who all live & work social but breathe mindful. Together, we’ll demystify the mindfulness concepts of compassion, consciousness and meditation and you’ll leave with some actual-factual ideas for building a stronger foundation for your personal universe.
This session is for anyone who wants to feel as good about their real life as they do about their Instagram feed. We’ll keep it low on the woo-woo and high on the how-to.
