Ever wonder why there are so many surveys on Facebook? This session will explore the use of social media and crowd sourcing as a way to personalize content. Specifically, it will demonstrate how the government curation and recommendation site eDemocracy.com leverages its viewers to categorize news and events and create customized feeds based on political pre-disposition. We’ll discuss different strategies used, experiments tested, and lessons learned along the way.
Get back into the classroom with this session, which is part of a graduate course in Social Media Marketing Analytics in the Marketing Analytics and Communication program at IIT Stuart School of Business. Guest speaker Scott Madlener of eDemocracy.com will bring his understanding of the impact technology has on human behavior and his expertise in blending branding with direct response.
