Bob Bullen has more than a decade of experience as an internal communications practitioner and strategist, serving in both in-house and agency roles, with a focus on communication planning, execution and internal social channels. Some of the clients he has supported include Takeda, AstraZeneca, Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Baxalta, MedImmune, Hewlett-Packard, Owens-Illinois, Western Union and Volkswagen Group of America.
A strategic thinker as well as a writer with a passion for creativity, Bob’s client experience includes internal communication planning and execution, leadership communication, mergers and acquisitions, and launching global internal social collaboration programs. His work has been recognized by industry-leading awards such as SABRE, PR News and IABC Gold Quill.
Prior to joining Edelman, Bob worked with professional services firm BDO USA, where he managed the company’s daily internal newsletter and served as a strategic communications advisor to multiple internal clients. Prior to that, Bob specialized in internal communications at information services company Wolters Kluwer, where his responsibilities included migrating the company’s multiple regional intranet platforms onto a single, global SharePoint platform, developing and executing internal launch campaigns for new products, producing town halls and developing a podcast series featuring senior leaders.
Bob graduated summa cum laude from Albion College and holds a masters of communications science from Northwestern University. He also writes about Chicago’s cultural scene for various sites, including The Huffington Post.
