#SMWLagosExperiences: Lape Soetan
Social Media Week is a leading news platform and worldwide conference that curates and shares the best ideas and insights into social media and technology's impact on business, society, and culture.
For this edition of #SMWLagosExperiences we caught up with one of Nigeria’s top bloggers Lape Soetan!
Lape is a Lagos-based writer, speaker and all-‘round adventuress. She is also the founder of Bold Nails, a mobile nail art service in Lagos, Nigeria and August Women , a networking group for young working women. Her writing has appeared in magazines, newspapers and online. Visit Lape’s Youtube channel and follow her on Twitter!
Here’s what Lape had to say!
There’s nothing quite like SMW Lagos
I had heard quite a bit about the first edition of SMW Lagos so I was pleased to be asked to be involved in the second edition. I was asked to be one of the panellists on Rediscovering Nigeria: Promoting Nigeria to Nigerians. I write the travel and lifestyle blog, www.lapesoetan.com , so I was flattered to be asked to speak about travelling. I thought there was a good turnout at the event – I didn’t think so many people would be interested in travel blogging! Thanks to that experience, I look forward to future editions of SMW Lagos. There’s nothing quite like it.
