#TurningUp: On Internet Rights and Freedoms

6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Hosted by Web We Want

Hangout Suite Water Corporation Road Plot 5B VI Lagos

Our desire is that human rights should be respected online as well as offline. But reality is different in Africa.  That is why the “African Declaration on Internet Rights and Freedoms” was born. This is a “business casual” evening meetup to network for the protection, promotion and  way forward for human rights, offline and online.

What are your advocacy plans? What are your issues? What are your experiences? Which cases do you want the public to hear?  Turn up. The microphone is “free and open”.

Light drinks? Check!
Chewables? Check!
Sound? Check!

Only the space is limited!

Be enriched, empowered and updated!

The evening is powered by Web We Want, a global movement to defend, claim and change the future of the Web. The campaign is responding to threats to the future of the Web with a practical and positive vision — unleashing the power of people from around the world to defend, claim and change a Web that is for everyone. We aim to bring about real change at a national and global level.
