Agriculture in Africa currently is characterized by food shortages, waste and lack of market opportunities. This is compounded by climate change threats. Communities in several African countries are battling food security, as many are not producing enough crops and grain to feed themselves, or not having the right technology to preserve the surplus. The gap between farmers, investors and the end users of the farm produce is wide. Analysts believe that all this shortcomings can be managed through innovative agricultural solutions fueled by technology and digital solutions.
This session will feature individuals in the Agriculture industry using digital technology and innovation to redefine agriculture on the continent.
Target participants include agro entrepreneurs, tech enthusiast in the Agro space and individual interested in exploring the immense opportunities in the Agro space.
Participants will be exposed to current trends across Africa on how technology and digital tools are adding value to the Agro value chain. The session will create opportunities for participants to learn new trends in Agro innovation and how this can enhance productivity and create a meeting point between tech entrepreneurs and agroprenuers for collaboration.
