The Writers’ Workshop aims to educate aspiring writers and professionals in the Nigerian literary industry about the ways that social and digital media have changed the world of literature, publishing and writing in today’s age.

The theme of this edition of the Writers’ Workshop is ‘Avoiding Plagiarism in Our Evolving Digital Landscape’, and will feature a panel of seasoned writers who will discuss the nature of plagiarism – particularly against of backdrop of social media and the wider internet as a popular and constantly evolving platform for literary expression. Using recent and relevant case studies, the Workshop will educate participants on best practices in writing for both online and traditional platforms, and will also look at how writers can avoid ‘accidental plagiarism’ in their work.
