Video has come to mobile. People around the world love video and it’s rapid growth is threatening to displace text and images as the way that people love to express themselves.

This presents new challenges for advertisers and their creative agencies. Video in the mobile feed might look like TV advertising, but it’s consumed in a different way, calling for new types of narratives, editing and production techniques.

Platform innovation is opening up a diverse set of video opportunities for brands, from live video spectaculars to Instagram video stories. What does this mean for the future of creative and how can we deliver exciting and effective advertising in a video first world?

In the upcoming talk, “New Creative Opportunities for a Video First World,” Ian Crocombe from Facebook’s Creative Shop, will explore the latest wave of video first creative and share some the learnings from the Creative Shop team.

Ian has worked with some of the leading agencies (AKQA, WPP Digital, M&C Saatchi), founded startups, and worked inside big brands such as American Express.

Ian will join us in September to share his team’s learnings by highlighting Facebook Live, Instagram Stories, and where we are heading for the future of creative video content and effective advertising.
