Building Brand Opportunity with Online Music Communities Social media is an ecosystem where communications flow freely between John Doe and brands and celebrities alike. At the heart of those communications is content… But content is flooding those ecosystems at alarming rates: over 400 million tweets and 5 million Instagram photos are uploaded every day and YouTube has over 72 hours of video uploaded every minute. So can content truly be king, when there’s so much of it everywhere?
The session will explore the panelists’ own experiences with growing online music communities from the perspective of the social network, the music industry and brands. Looking at content and its relationship with engagement, moving on to lessons and opportunities for brands. The intention is that the industry and brands alike, can learn from their experiences and be inspired by opportunities presented by the panelists.
This session, moderated by Andrew Childs of Havas Media and curated by theAudience and Mixcloud, will feature speakers from the host companies alongside UKF Founder, Luke Hood, Konstantinos Papamilitadis – Manager, Strategic Partners at Facebook UK and Ed Karney from Grade Management.
