Sarah Wood from Unruly and Joe Wade from Don’t Panic (who just won the Gold Cyber Lion in Cannes) join forces to discuss how great content combined with the right distribution strategy can get massive audiences with much higher levels of engagement. The audience will get a challenge to develop actual campaign ideas, and will have the opportunity to receive feedback from the professionals. Join us for a fun, interactive evening and find out if what have what it takes to take content marketing to the next level.

This event is for anyone who has in interest in understanding how to get the most viral uplift out of good content idea. No particular expertise is required, just a keen interest in social media.

Includes a short presentation by Sarah Wood about what makes content shareable, and by Joe Wade about generating creative ideas. Then, the audience will get a real-life brief to develop ideas for a campaign for the “Your Life” initiative and will get 45 minutes to work on their ideas in small teams. A number of volunteers will then present their campaign ideas and get feedback from Sarah and Joe.

Sarah Wood  is Co-founder and COO of marketing technology company, Unruly, where she ensures that the company delivers the most awesome social video campaigns on the planet. Sarah has been voted UK Female Entrepreneur of the Year by the Growing Business Awards, one of 15 Women to Watch in Tech by Inc., one of 10 London-Based Entrepreneurs to Watch by Forbes and a Rising Star in Computer Weekly’s Most Influential Women in UK IT. Sarah is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Cambridge, where she teaches a course in “Mash-Ups, Memes and LOLitics: Online Video Culture and the Screen Media Revolution” for the Screen Media and Cultures MPhil. She has been a member of Social Media Week’s Global Advisory Board since 2011 and is part of the Gazelle Group of Entrepreneurs, helping to foster a new generation of entrepreneurs.

 

Joe Wade  is a British filmmaker, TV writer, producer and CEO and co-founder of the seriously creative agency Don’t Panic . He has been making videos for YouTube to create controversy since 2009. Since 2012 he created BBC Three Hat Trick show titled The Revolution Will Be Televised alongside Heydon Prowse consequently winning a BAFTA for it in May 2013. The show was nominated for another BAFTA in 2014 but lost to James Corden 🙁 The show holds politicians and businessmen accountable for their wrongdoings in a satirical manner. Under Don’t Panic Wade produced more cause related viral videos than any other company, including the Cannes Gold Lion Winning ‘Most Shocking Second a Day…’ Film for Save The Children for the Three Year anniversary of the conflict in Syria. More recently the company produced ‘Everything is Not Awesome…’ for Greenpeace targeting Lego’s partnership with Shell.
